Social Stratification

This MCAT podcast covers social stratification. First, I define and give examples of many of the terms you may see regarding social stratification and inequality, including: prejudice, discrimination, stereotype, stereotype threat, status (ascribed vs achieved), power (6 different types to know), social capital (and the other forms of capital), gentrification, and poverty. Then, I talk about social class. Last, I briefly mention the social gradient in healthcare.
