Getting to Know Dr. Yoo
Dr. Yoo was born to South Korean immigrant parents and was raised in New York. He pursued mathematics and philosophy in college, along with pre-med subjects. His family encouraged him to become a doctor, and he eventually went to an osteopathic med school. As a resident, Dr. Yoo was able to form a lot of friendships at his workplace so he stayed even after his training period ended. After 5 years, he left the hospital to open his own private practice. This was also the beginning of his work as a coach, teacher, and writer.
Dr. Yoo has always been interested in psychology and philosophy—subjects that involve introspection. He loved “working on his soul from the inside out”. Realizing that he possessed expertise in these areas, he is inspired to help others in their journey to find their inner peace and congruence.
What is the Enneagram Personality Test?
The Enneagram Personality Test is a personality system that classifies people into nine typologies. By knowing about the different types, you can learn about the motivations, strengths, weaknesses, and preferences of others. The Enneagram leads us to do deep inner work, allowing us to gain insight on what influences our thoughts and behaviors. It can help us make conscious, deliberate choices—like choosing a specialty based on what we truly want.
